Lunar New Year Celebration -- Mountain View 1/28

On January 28th, Teens Club members gathered at the Mountain View Community Center for volunteering work celebrating the Lunar New Year. The warm Saturday was an eventful late morning and afternoon. Members helped kids make various crafts like paper lanterns, bunnies, and three-dimensional spring （春）characters, as well as other activities like face painting. Shine4Love performers also preformed stunning dances for the community.

Catching on to the tail end of celebrations at only a week after Lunar New Year, Shine4Love members celebrated their heritage, Chinese, and East Asian cultures. The exchange of backgrounds, stories, and traditions within a friendly community certainly marked a highlight for the weekend.
