On January 29, 2022, the Teens Club organized a fundraiser sale for Chinese Lunar New Year themed mason jars! The proceeds for the event were donated to Kaidi's Light, an organization that supports and assists adoptive families.
In 3 weeks, over 20 teens contributed to this project, from designing to drawing and painting on clear mason jars! We cut stencils along the outlines of the tiger, coated every jar with several layers of paint, hand-drew the vibrant tiger designs, wrote Chinese well wishes, and sprayed a glossy finish to complete the jars. With the help of our teens and a stunning flyer designed by our art team, we sold about 30 jars in total, selling them both online via a Google Form and in person at Fantasia Coffee and Tea in Milpitas. This volunteer event was an absolute blast! Look forward to it again next year!
