Shine4Love Teens Club 2026

On 5/16, Teens Club organized the 2026 AAPI Performance at San Jose Berryessa Library. Members of our club hosted the performances, provided technical and logistical support, and made sure everything went smoothly.

The Teens Club volunteers helped with operations at the Mountain View Multicultural Festival! They helped with performances, crafts, and cultural celebrations!

Volunteers from Teens Club kindly assisted with cleaning up and beautifying the Japanese Friendship Garden, doing gardening, pruning, and weeding. Teens Club volunteers showed up again for the monthly FOPAL (Friends of the Palo Alto Library) booksale, helping manage and organize the sale. Tasks like cashering and floor jobs were available, as well as being a door monitor. While we don't have any pictures this time, you can refer to previous posts about this event as it occurs on a monthly basis.

Volunteered at the Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair on competition day, assisting with setup, registration, participant guidance, and event operations. Helped support crowd management and ensure the event ran smoothly from start to finish.

The Teens Club volunteers helped the Fremont Library run crafts booths for Lunar New Year celebration on 2/28! They helped set up and run five events including Lantern Making, Cherry Blossom Tree, Rocking Horse, Paper Fish, Stencil Painting!

Teens Club volunteers helped out at the Japanese Friendship Garden Clean-up on February 24. They worked on weeding, pruning, and general cleanup! They helped make the garden cleaner and neater.

On Valentine’s Day, volunteers worked with AquaMeridian for a special community event---a Mermaid-themed coastal cleanup at Seaplane Lagoon Promenade! They worked on cleaning up trash on the coastline! They also had a Mermaid Photo Booth, and a free Mission Blue documentary screening at DOER Marine.

The Teens Club helped out at the Zai Ge Zai Gu Spring Culture Fair on February 14. They helped with check-in, award redemption, art and craft, and guided children and other participants for activities!

The Japanese Friendship Garden Cleanup on January 17, 2026. Volunteers worked through winter conditions, clearing fallen branches, leaves, and vines. It was heavy work, but the garden looks much tidier and well-maintained.

On December 14, Teens Club members organized a special performance at a senior center to bring joy and connection to the elderly community. During the show, our volunteers presented a variety of performances, including piano, ukulele, guitar, dance, and other traditional Chinese instruments.
