11/27 Turkey Trot 🦃

This Thanksgiving, Teens Club volunteers attended the Applied Materials Turkey Trot, the largest Thanksgiving Day race in America, drawing over 20,000 participants annually to downtown San Jose.

The race features a 5K run/walk, 10K run, and virtual race options. It was founded in 2005 by Carl and Leslee Guardino, competitive runners who wanted to create a community tradition. Initially, there was a goal of 1,000 participants for the first race, however the big breakthrough came when Applied Materials became the multi-year title sponsor, officially launching the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot.

Thanks to our volunteers who arrived to help the event run smoothly in the Kids Fun Zone and the Post-Race Freshman Team!
